To ensure Food and Drugs Association (FDA) that the generic drug is fully hygienic, its manufacturers have to follow all the stringent good manufacturing practices. Without confirming this, FDA doesn’t allow a drug manufacturing firm to exist. So there is no reason to have any doubts over the generic drugs as long as quality is concerned. All the myths that prevail regarding the quality of generic drugs have already been proved baseless. The facts are quite different and go with the interest of the consumers very well.

One can also ask the question “why brand name drugs?” If the same quality of the expensive brand name drugs is available in the generic ones which are quite affordable, why will one go for the earlier and not the later?

It is not said that generic drugs are more reliable than the brand name ones. But in no matter, they are inferior to their brand name counterparts. We can definitely say that there is some difference with regards of structure but this is of course without compromising with the quality.

The fact is that it’s because the generic drugs manufacturers don’t invest in research, development and promotion purposes as they are just reproducing a brand and already proven product.
